Baseball Recap: Palisades Has No Trouble Against Moravian Academy

Palisades never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Moravian Academy Lions as they made off with a 9-0 victory. That looming 9-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Pirates yet this season.

Shane Schuback made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. Schuback was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Ted Mussleman was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Jacob Teachan was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Palisades was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

The win got Palisades back to even at 3-3. As for Moravian Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Palisades has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Marian Catholic on the 5th. As for Moravian Academy, they will head out to challenge Lehighton at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
