Softball Game Preview: Claiborne Bulldogs vs. Cherokee Chiefs

Claiborne is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Cherokee an eight-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Claiborne Bulldogs will welcome the Cherokee Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Claiborne came up short against Morristown-Hamblen East on Wednesday, falling 15-8.

Jaycee Hall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Cherokee lost 13-1 to North Greene on Monday.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Claiborne, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Claiborne was able to grind out a solid victory over Cherokee when the teams last played back in March, winning 6-3. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
