Basketball Recap: Shelbyville Comes Up Short

Shelbyville came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 45-24 to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 564th, while Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg are ranked 235th).

Despite the loss, Shelbyville still got an impressive performance from Kenzie Jones, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Jones has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 15 times she's played.

Shelbyville has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-6.
