Recap: Ashville Bulldogs vs. Freeport Bulldogs
On Wednesday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Ashville had to settle for a 45-43 defeat against Freeport.
Jasmine Miles continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Freeport, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 16 rebounds. The matchup was Miles' 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Hite, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Ashville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Freeport, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Ashville will head out on the road to face off against Hanceville at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Freeport won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Owsley County at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th.
