League recap: Tonawanda stuns Kennedy in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Tonawanda, who took down 258th ranked Kennedy, 27-0.

Walch Timothy and Daunce Kevin provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Akron. The connection was good for 80 yards, the longest such play in Section 6 C - North this season.

Josh Kneeland put up the best numbers in passing as Newfane fell to Lackawanna. He finished with 8 completions for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kneeland's favorite target this week was Nathan Auernhamer, who caught 4 passes for 67 yards.

Fox Alexander made the biggest impact on defense this week as Wilson lost to the Tigers. The 6-foot-1 defensive back.

Brandon Thomas was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 78 yards on 18 carries as Cleveland Hill lost to Akron. Teammate Anthony Sullivan added to the ground attack by rushing for 65 yards.

Kevin was the best receiver in the league this week as Wilson fell to Michael Dean's team. Kevin tallied 5 receptions for 138 yards.

William Atlas' team's Timothy and Kevin have formed a dream team this season, leading Section 6 C - North in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Timothy has thrown for 148 yards this season, while Kevin has 5 catches for 138 yards. Thomas from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 78 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Tonawanda takes on second place Lackawanna.

The Warriors moved up to 313 from 410 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Tonawanda was able to make move up by defeating the Bears 27-0.
