Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Mandeville

Mandeville won the last time they faced Denham Springs and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mandeville Skippers walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Denham Springs Yellowjackets. Winning may never get old, but the Skippers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Mia Baham looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Swift, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lindsay Berniard, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Mandeville's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Denham Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mandeville will welcome Northshore at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Northshore will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Mandeville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Denham Springs, they will face off against Kaplan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
