Baseball Recap: Leicester Comes Up Short

Leicester fell victim to Oxford and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 10-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Leicester is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for Oxford, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Leicester will venture away from home to take on Quaboag Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Oxford, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Millbury at 3:30 p.m.
