Combine Academy Elite had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell to the Winston Salem Christian Lions 60-54.

Winston Salem Christian pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Combine Academy Elite will challenge Word of God Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Word of God Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.3 points per game this season. Winston Salem Christian has already played their next match, a 70-65 defeat against Carolina Basketball Academy on the 18th.
