Football Game Preview: New Underwood Tigers vs. Jones County Coyotes

The New Underwood Tigers will challenge the Jones County Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Friday, New Underwood had to suffer through a 64-20 loss at the hands of Lyman. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Jones County's offense. They were outmatched by Wall and fell 50-0. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Eagles are ranked second).

New Underwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jones County, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.

New Underwood took their victory against Jones County in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 34-12 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
