Hill is 9-1 against Yerba Buena since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Hill Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 15 consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.

Hill is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Del Mar on Wednesday.

Despite the loss, Hill got top-tier performance from Nicolas Huerta, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points and three steals. Huerta is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ernesto Ochoa, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Yerba Buena didn't have quite enough to beat James Lick on Wednesday and fell 61-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Aztec Warriors have suffered against the Comets since May 17, 2021.

Yerba Buena's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-14.

Everything came up roses for Hill against Yerba Buena in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 71-44 win. Does Hill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Yerba Buena turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
