Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Birdville walked away with it. They managed a 77-71 win over the Heritage Coyotes on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Hawks, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryson Howard, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 19 rebounds. The game was Howard's fourth in a row with at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Lomax, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 27 points.

Birdville's win bumped their record up to 35-3. As for Heritage, the loss snapped their winning streak at 16 games and leaves them with a 32-5 record.

Looking ahead, Birdville will face off against West Brook at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Brook will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Birdville surely won't give up without a fight. Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
