Recap: Tri-West Hendricks Bruins vs. Brownsburg Bulldogs
The Tri-West Hendricks Bruins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to Brownsburg on the road by a decisive 72-53 margin. Tri-West Hendricks lost against Brownsburg in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 48-28 score last time.
Several Bruins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lauren Bear, who scored 17 points. Bear scored a full 32.1% of Tri-West Hendricks' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckinzie Wilhoite, who scored 14 points.
Tri-West Hendricks has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Brownsburg, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Tri-West Hendricks will be playing at home against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Brownsburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Fishers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fishers knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Brownsburg likes a good challenge.
