Football Recap: Minor Starts off Right with Win over Dora + How To Watch

Minor had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 46-0 win over the Dora Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Minor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tommie Burts, who threw for 216 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes. Trey Hurth helped Burts out on the ground, rushing for 103 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kamari Bell, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minor will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Paul W. Bryant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dora, they will host Corner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
