Volleyball Recap: Pebble Hills Spartans vs. Del Valle Conquistadores
Pebble Hills had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it ten. They fell just short of the Del Valle Conquistadores by a score of 3-2. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Conquistadores apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
Kylah Dickerson paced Pebble Hills' offense, picking up 19 kills. Dickerson got some help from Raelyn Shaver and her 38 assists. Shaver also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Abbie Carrillo, racking up three apiece.
As for Del Valle, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since August 29, 2024.
Mia Puga had a dynamite game, getting eight digs and eight aces. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high.
Pebble Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Burges on the 21st. As for Del Valle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Austin on the 21st.
