Football Recap: Cinco Ranch's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Cinco Ranch had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Paetow Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 41-27. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 26.3 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cinco Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Chevez, who picked up 153 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Those 153 receiving yards gave Chevez a new career-high. Cinco Ranch also got a significant boost from Marcus Gadlin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 121 yards.

Cinco Ranch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 247 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 96.8 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five matchups they've averaged 185.

Cinco Ranch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jacob Forinash and Maverick McConnell. Forinash is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least eight every time he's taken the field this season. Cinco Ranch got some further help from Avi Ramirez: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

When it comes to explaining why Paetow lost, don't look at Jovan Rodriguez. Despite the final result, he rushed for 242 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Rodriguez was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards.

Cinco Ranch now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Paetow, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Cinco Ranch didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-28 win against Tompkins on the 17th. As for Paetow, they have also already played their next game, a 28-3 victory against Seven Lakes on the 16th.
