Basketball Recap: Excel Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Excel Christian Academy lost against LaFayette back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles had to suffer through a 75-13 loss at the hands of the Ramblers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while the Ramblers are ranked 142nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Excel Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for LaFayette, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Excel Christian Academy and LaFayette will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Eagles see the court they'll take on The Stonehaven School at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2026. As for LaFayette, their break will end when they face Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 3:00 p.m. on the 29th.
