Baseball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin fell victim to Ridgewood and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 1-0.

Zach Beeson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Franklin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Standifer, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ridgewood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-4 win against Bath County on the 1st. As for Ridgewood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-0 victory against Casey County on the 1st.
