Volleyball Recap: Covenant Academy Comes Up Short

Covenant Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Oak Mountain Academy Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 22-25, 25-19.

Oak Mountain Academy found their leader in sophomore Alaia Bhojani, who had 24 digs and ten aces. Those 24 digs set a new season-high mark for Bhojani.

Covenant Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Oak Mountain Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Academy will challenge Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Mountain Academy, they will face off against Harvester Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
