Volleyball Recap: Genoa Area Takes a Loss

Genoa Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Oak Harbor Rockets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-11, 25-13.

Despite the loss, Genoa Area still got an impressive performance from Charli Magnone, who had ten digs. Magnone is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Genoa Area's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Oak Harbor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Genoa Area has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Toledo Christian on the 6th. As for Oak Harbor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Lake on the 7th.
