Volleyball Recap: Heights Falls Despite Big Games from Emmerson Weiss and Aaliyah Lytle

Heights lost against MacArthur back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Generals by a score of 2-1.

Heights' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaliyah Lytle, who had nine digs and two assists, and Emmerson Weiss, who had 25 assists. Weiss is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 20 every time she's taken the court this season. Emma Syphard also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for MacArthur, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.

Heights has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Spring Woods on the 21st. As for MacArthur, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Texas City on the 21st.
