Softball Game Preview: Wellsville Tigers vs. United Golden Eagles

Wellsville is 0-5 against United since May of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Wellsville has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Palestine hit Wellsville with a five-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 12-3 to the Bulldogs. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

United's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wellsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
