Baseball Recap: North Plainfield Comes Up Short

North Plainfield lost against Dayton back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Canucks fell 6-2 to the Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Canucks have lost by exactly four runs.

Jake Z made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for North Plainfield and nudges their season record down to 10-5. As for Dayton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

North Plainfield will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rahway at 4:00 p.m. As for Dayton, they will head out on the road to face off against Barringer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
