Baseball Recap: Upper Sandusky Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Upper Sandusky, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Carey Blue Devils 11-1 on Monday. The Rams not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Kasen Gottfried, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Francis, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Upper Sandusky's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Carey, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
