Peoria hadn't done well against Deer Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Peoria Panthers blew past the Deer Valley Skyhawks 52-27. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Peoria got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was De'Miyah Petty out in front who posted 18 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Another player making a difference was Michelle Kogbara, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds.

Peoria pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.6 points. As for Deer Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Peoria will square off against Westview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Deer Valley, they will challenge Agua Fria at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
