Limon piles up the points against Elbert

Recap: Limon Badgers vs. Elbert Bulldogs

Make it four blowout wins for the Limon Badgers this season. They blew past Elbert, posting a 46-18 victory on the road. Given Limon's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Elbert is ranked 229th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jentri Marx was her usual excellent self, scoring seven points along with seven steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Enyceia Frescas, who scored nine points along with two steals.

The win (which was Limon's fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Elbert, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Limon and Evangel Christian Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Evangel Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Elbert, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Deer Trail at 4:30 p.m. Deer Trail is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
