Football Recap: Montgomery Central Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Montgomery Central had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 13-6 to the Sycamore War Eagles. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the War Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Montgomery Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carson Lancaster and Malosi Laban. Laban got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Hicks Hunter was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 76 yards and one TD.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery Central will venture away from home to challenge East Hickman County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sycamore, they will head out to face off against Greenbrier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
