Baseball Game Preview: Hilliard Red Flashes vs. Bradford Tornadoes

The Hilliard Red Flashes will head out on the road to challenge the Bradford Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hilliard is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Hilliard came up into this matchup off a tough 15-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Charlton County by a score of 7-5 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Red Flashes have suffered since February 27, 2024.

Jacob Cooper was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. Braydon Allen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Bradford lost 13-3 to Interlachen on Friday.

Bradford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Breion Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Hilliard's record is now 1-5. As for Bradford, their record now sits at 3-2.

Hilliard skirted past Bradford 9-7 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hilliard since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
