Volleyball Recap: Lake Zurich's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lake Zurich won the last time they faced Grant Community and things went their way on Monday too. The Bears walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lake Zurich took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12.

Gabe Schwartz paced Lake Zurich's offense, picking up eight kills. Schwartz got some help from Wyatt Jones and his 12 assists.

Lake Zurich pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Grant Community, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Zurich will face off against Waukegan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Bears' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Grant Community, they will challenge Antioch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
