Softball Recap: Turner Lions vs. Callisburg Wildcats
Turner proved they can win big on Friday (they won by seven) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Callisburg Wildcats, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since April 4, 2025.
Grecia De La Garza made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
