Basketball Recap: Clark Comes Up Short

Clark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 54-18 loss at the hands of the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-32 two weeks ago.

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Cimarron-Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Clark won't have much time to rest: their next game is against El Rancho at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. El Rancho's defense has only allowed 29.1 points per game this season, so Clark's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Doral Academy Red Rock at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
