Basketball Recap: Springfield Christian Academy Beats Juniata Christian for Their Fifth Straight Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springfield Christian Academy). Everything went their way against the Juniata Christian Eagles on Friday as Springfield Christian Academy made off with a 47-27 victory. The win was familiar territory for Springfield Christian Academy who have now won five games in a row.

Kaylin Zettle was nothing short of spectacular: she posted 17 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Colbie Combs, who scored nine points and four steals.

Juniata Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Meghyn Bennett, who went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Abigail White was another key player, putting up four points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Springfield Christian Academy pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Juniata Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
