Basketball Recap: Pinewood Christian Patriots vs. Bulloch Academy Gators
Pinewood Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Bulloch Academy Gators, falling 71-49. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Gators this season, with their most recent defeat being a 74-52 loss two weeks ago.
Banks Hearn and Jordan Kinlaw certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Hearn posted 21 points, while Kinlaw put up 19 points. That was a full 42.9% of Pinewood Christian's points, marking the 23rd time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bulloch Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Akiryon Watkins, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points. Ike Hubbard was another key player, putting up 15 points.
Pinewood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Bulloch Academy, their record is now 9-12.
