Lamar is 6-1 against Lewisville since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Silver Foxes will look to defend their home field against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lamar is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Hunter-Kinard-Tyler with a sharp 44-22 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Silver Foxes, who have now won ten games in a row.

Lamar got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zori Pierce out in front who threw for 263 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 passes. That's the most passing touchdowns Pierce has posted since back in November of 2024. Another receiver making a difference was Juju Morris, who picked up 124 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lamar's defense and their seven sacks. Leading the way was Mont Williams with 2.5. Dq Green was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making 14 total tackles, and defending one pass.
Meanwhile, Lewisville took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-14 win over C.A. Johnson. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won five in a row.
Lamar better keep an eye on Antonio Price. He was instrumental in Lewisville's win, rushing for 171 yards and two TDs while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. They are 7-1 when Price posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise. Jalen Culp was another key player, rushing for 38 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Lewisville didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited C.A. Johnson to a completion percentage of just 44%. The team can thank Devaughn Garica for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Lewisville; they were averaging 58.7%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 58.7% (which corresponds perfectly with their time in the postseason).
Lewisville's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Lamar, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Lamar has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 256.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Lewisville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 190.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Lamar didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lewisville in their previous matchup back in October, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win.
