Basketball Recap: Waite Comes Up Short

Waite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were dealt a 75-12 loss at the hands of the Norwalk Truckers. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 803rd, while the Truckers are ranked 23rd).

Waite's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Norwalk, they pushed their record up to 21-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Waite does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Norwalk, they will take on Sandusky in a tournament on Wednesday. Sandusky knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Norwalk likes a good challenge.
