 Boulder was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight  loss. They lost  12-0 to the Fossil Ridge SaberCats. The  game marked the first time this season in which Boulder was not able to get on the board.
 Boulder saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Fin Torvik, who  went 2-for-2 with a  double.
 On Fossil Ridge's side,  Brek Benedict looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.
 At the plate, Fossil Ridge got a  massive  performance out of  Jensen Planansky, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mason Griffin, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Boulder's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Fossil Ridge,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 11-1.
 Boulder will head out on the road to  take on  Rocky Mountain at 3:00  p.m.  on Monday. Rocky Mountain is coming into the  contest with four straight  victories at home,  so Boulder will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum. As for Fossil Ridge, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Northglenn at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Northglenn has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.55  runs per game on average), something Fossil Ridge will no doubt try to take advantage of.
