Softball Recap: Venture Academy Mustangs vs. Millennium Falcons

Venture Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 16-2 defeat at the hands of the Millennium Falcons. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Venture Academy has scored all season.

Esperanza Alvarez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-3 with a stolen base, a double, and an RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Molina, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

On Millennium's side, Alicia Robinson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned run off two hits. Robinson was even better at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Lanie Gonzalez was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with six RBI, two doubles, and a run. Another player making a difference was Melia Ritchie, who scored three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
