Battlefield put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Freedom Eagles an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Battlefield pushed their record up to 15-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Freedom, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Battlefield will square off against Woodbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bobcats 1.9, the Vikings 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Freedom, they will venture away from home to square off against McLean at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Highlanders' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
