West Las Vegas falls despite strong effort from C.j. Perea

Recap: West Las Vegas Dons vs. Santa Fe Indian Braves

The West Las Vegas Dons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell 65-58 to Santa Fe Indian. The matchup was a 32-32 toss-up at halftime, but West Las Vegas couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, West Las Vegas still got an impressive performance from C.j. Perea, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perea has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of P.j. Montano, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.

West Las Vegas has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Santa Fe Indian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Raton the next time they take the court. West Las Vegas will host Raton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Santa Fe Indian will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
