Football Recap: Herndon Comes Up Short on the Road Against Tuscarora + How To Watch

Herndon kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 14-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tuscarora Huskies. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Huskies are ranked 30th).

Coming up, Herndon will challenge Langley at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. The game will give the Hornets their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Tuscarora, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Potomac Falls at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
