            Las Plumas picked up another tournament win  on Friday. They came out on top against the Sonoma Valley Dragons by a score of  62-52. Given the Thunderbirds' advantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 366th, while the Dragons are ranked 798th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
Las Plumas got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  T.J. Thompson out in front who  went 9 for 16  on his way to 25  points.  Casmir Jones was another key player,  going 7 for 14  on his way to 18  points.
 Las Plumas was working as a unit and  finished the game with 14  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sonoma Valley only racked up eight  assists.
 When it comes to explaining why Sonoma Valley lost, don't look at  Hudson Giarritta. Despite the final result, he  dropped  a double-double on 21 points and 13  boards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Grayson Sanders, who  posted 13  points.
Las Plumas' record is now 7-3. As for Sonoma Valley,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-6.
 Las Plumas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  54-45  victory against Foothill on the 28th. As for Sonoma Valley, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  73-63  win against Pioneer on the 28th.
