Football Recap: Central Valley Cougars vs. Elm Creek Buffaloes
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Central Valley had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Elm Creek Buffaloes 62-8 at home. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on six straight.
Zaden Wolf continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 99 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 56 yards and a touchdown on perfect 6-for-6 passing. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 61 yards.
Central Valley pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Elm Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
