Baseball Game Preview: Bucktail Bucks vs. Canton Warriors

The Bucktail Bucks will be taking part in a tournament against the Canton Warriors at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bucktail has given up an average of 13.6 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bucktail lost 20-5 to Sullivan County on Thursday.

Keller Friese was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Tyler Hillyer was another key player, earning two runs and two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Canton came up short against Cowanesque Valley on Thursday and fell 8-3.

Ben Fitch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.

Canton's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bucktail, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
