Nashoba Regional got themselves on the board against Groton-Dunstable on Friday, but Groton-Dunstable never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 8-0 win. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 victory the Crusaders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Jake Schwartz made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nikhil Siano, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. Daniel Gudin was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Nashoba Regional always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Nashoba Regional back to even at 2-2. As for Groton-Dunstable, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Nashoba Regional will head out to challenge Westborough at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Groton-Dunstable, they will host Shepherd Hill Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
