Basketball Recap: Deegan Branson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Canyon Ridge

There's no place like home for Thunder Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks with a sharp 56-31 victory on Friday.

Thunder Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Deegan Branson out in front who went 6 of 9 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Sparks, who posted 12 points.

Thunder Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Canyon Ridge, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Highland the next time they take the court. Thunder Ridge will host Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Canyon Ridge will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
