Grovetown couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 9-3 to the Greenbrier Wolfpack on Wednesday.

Josalyn Sergent put in work while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Sergent was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
