Volleyball Recap: Maroa-Forsyth Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Maroa-Forsyth was the 2-0 winner over Olympia when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Maroa-Forsyth actually scored more points across those three sets (72-66), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 28-26, 13-25, 25-21.

Morgan Woolum paced Maroa-Forsyth's offense, picking up 14 kills. Woolum got some help from Jacy Ravenscraft and her 35 assists. Adelyn Simmons controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Aubrey Rycyzyn was the offensive standout of the match as she had 19 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Maroa-Forsyth has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10 record this season. As for Olympia, the victory got them back to even at 16-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Maroa-Forsyth will head out to face off against Warrensburg-Latham at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Olympia, they will venture away from home to challenge Delavan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
