Baseball Recap: Mosley Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mosley can now relate to. They fell just short of the Columbia Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Dolphins have lost by just one run.

Mosley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fletcher Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Mosley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-12. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Columbia, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Mosley by a score of 10-0 on Thursday.
