Softball Recap: Bloomington Comes Up Short

Bloomington managed to slip by Normal University the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Purple Raiders came up short against the Pioneers on Thursday, falling 15-0. The Purple Raiders' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Bloomington's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Normal University, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-9.

Coming up, Bloomington will head out to square off against Danville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Normal University, they will challenge Normal Community at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ironmen have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
