Basketball Recap: Mountain View Christian Takes a Loss

Mountain View Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Indian Springs Thunderbirds 59-22. The Saints lost against the Thunderbirds in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 51-38 score last time.

Indian Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Gourley, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 12 points. Vance Dilger was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 12 points and five boards.

Mountain View Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Indian Springs, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View Christian will venture away from home to challenge Word of Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View Christian is facing Word of Life Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Word of Life Christian Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Indian Springs, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Indian Springs Thunderbirds duke it out with the Spring Mountain Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
