Basketball Recap: John Yowell Academy Takes a Loss

John Yowell Academy played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 44-20 to the Hayworth Christian Knights. The Panthers were down 36-16 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Hayworth Christian can attribute much of their success to Lukas Wyse, who posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Gerringer, who had ten points.

John Yowell Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hayworth Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. John Yowell Academy will head out to take on Asheboro Hybrid Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hayworth Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Cornerstone Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
